Michelle & Corey chose to have their first look session take place before the wedding, in lieu of doing it on the wedding day. This is an option if you’d like to exchange your engagement session out for something different. The benefit of having a First Look session pre-wedding is you can order prints to display at the wedding. Genius!

I know most brides are thinking: ” I don’t want anyone to see my wedding gown.” Michelle purchased a SECOND dress just for this shoot and lets be honest – what woman wouldn’t want TWO beautiful wedding dresses.

It’s been a busy wedding season for 2011 and between shoots, editing and album design the blog has been a bit neglected. In an effort to share more previews from each wedding I’m changing up the format a bit..yes, it will take a few seconds longer to download the images BUT its more eye candy so its well worth it

Ruben & Maria were married in July (yes, this is how far back I need to go to catch up on blogging so hang tight) and although the weather was scorching in Texas the wedding itself went on without a hitch. Amongst close family & friends they married at La Villita church in downtown San Antonio and held their reception at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio reception hall. With smooth shots by Republic Tequila and the sounds of one of the most AMAZING cover bands I’ve ever heard at a wedding, the party was non-stop. Their choice of rich tones for the wedding was one of my favorites this year.

Celina met her now husband in 8th grade (their wedding was last weekend). To say that she’s likely dreamed of the day she’s don a wedding dress to marry the boy who stole her heart is fairly accurate.

Isn’t she a vision.

Welcome Baby Vanessa Lyn

With pride I announce to you the newest addition to the Roberts’ family – beautiful princess Vanessa Lyn.

Her mommy is one of my best friends and we go WAY back in time when the biggest concerns we had revolved around weekend fun with our college friends. These days the biggest pleasure we have is watching our children grow up. I was there for the birth of their first son Matthew and now I get to share in the joy of the precious daughter she and her husband Matt have created. Vanessa is a long anticipated addition to the family and I can’t wait to see her grow up and hear the great stories of a new baby in the Robert’s household. Oh the stories I could share about Matthew’s first bath, first attempted photo session I had with him and the “sunflower” debacle..the list goes on and on. haha! Maybe I should buy Vanessa a helmet and a lifejacket just in case. I’m joking! (sorta) Good thing is that many years have passed and we ladies are older, wiser and I think with all our heads put together Vanessa will turn out a-ok too.

Congratulations Matt, Celestina, Tiffany & Matthew – your daughter/sister is a gift from Heaven and I loved meeting her today!

not to mention she will have colored eyes like her big brother..will they be blue, green or grey? Time will tell!

Vanessa isn’t a sleeper. In fact, she was awake during most of our visit. And as many times as I tried to get her to wear the teddy bear hat, she just wasn’t having it. She’s a diva alright..she has her preferences already

However , look at how ADORABLE she looks in this?!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

See you again soon Vanessa. This was just the first of many sessions you’ll be having with me. Can’t wait!
