Boy, Oh Boy! {Austin Newborn Photographer}

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

Boy, Oh Boy!

Your life will be filled with riotous joy;

You’re in for it now; boy, oh boy!
Your new and thrilling life begins,

Full of baby boy coos and mischievous grins.

He’ll use every trick and baby ploy
To get your attention…your baby boy.

Soon he’ll crawl, explore and run;

His boyish adventures will never be done.

So don’t waste time with your newest toy,

He’ll be grown in a moment, your cute baby boy.

When was Nolan born?  February 23, 2011 at 1:03 pm

How much did he weigh/length? 8lbs, 15 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long

Does Nolan have any brothers or sisters? Nolan has 2 sibling. Zach who is 7 and Marlena 2

What’s your fondest memory of your new precious baby thus far? The best memory so far is everyone’s excitement to our baby boy. Not knowing what we were having it’s great to see everyone so excited. Especially the kids. Zach was ecstatic to see that he had a baby brother.

Session comments : We love the work that you do! Thank you for your patience- you are wonderful with kiddos! You are very professional, you take your time at the session to make sure you get the best pictures! Russell says that he likes that you flirt with Nolan. LOL

It seems like in the blink of an eye I photographed big sister Marlena & Zach for newborn/sibling sessions and now the tradition continues with Nolan. I’m so blessed to photograph these little miracles. He reminds me of everything small and perfect in a baby. They’re soo tiny and just want to be loved. You thought I was about to say they want to just sleep huh? Not Nolan, he was busy showing me his baby blues for most of the session but I patiently waited for him to doze off to photograph him in sleepy perfection.  I can already picture the most fun sibling session with this trio not too far in the future :)

A perfect tiny new life. How precious is he?

This is where “flirting” with Nolan paid off…I got a hint of a smile there mid-snooze :D

Hook em Nolan!  Tell daddy you want some matching boots for football season :)

Thank you Nicole & Russell for allowing me to photograph your beautiful children. You sure make em CUTE xoxo!!!!

Vintage Styled Engagement Session

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

You’ve likely seen this session on my website or on the facebook page, but here’s the entire session in a pretty little slide show. This session set a new precedence for me as I’ve always wanted to do a styled/themed engagement session. Honestly, if EVERY session in 2011 goes as beautifully as this one did, then I’m in for a wonderful year of photos. To create these type of images does take prep time by both myself and the client. I will gladly work with you to brainstorm ideas for props, locations, outfits – anything needed to make the session something you’ll cherish as much as your wedding pictures.

This isn’t limited to only those getting ready to walk down the aisle. All of my portrait clients can share in the fun if you’re willing to do some thrifting for perfect little accessories. Clueless as to what we could do? No worries – together we’ll come up with something unique for you.

With some personalized books brought from home, a champagne bottle saved from the day he proposed, vintage mason jars and oh, wait till you see the vintage beachcruiser purchased on Craigslist just for this shoot..it all came together perfectly for this vintage engagement session in Austin at the Duchman Family Winery. Thanks to them for allowing us to shoot there. I look forward to doing a session in the summer when the vines are in bloom and we have yummy grapes in the pics too!
