A pearl of extraordinary beauty {Austin Bridal Photographer}

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Breathtaking. Classic. Elegant. Timeless.

All of these words describe how beautiful and extraordinary Rachael is as a bride and this beauty is more than skin deep. She’s such a wonderful gal too! As we worked together to design her Save the Dates, wedding invites, RSVP’s, engagement session and ceremony fans it became obvious to me that I had to find a venue just as unique and “vintage” as the wedding theme Rachael had created. Lustre Pearl was my only choice with its shabby chic’d walls, peeling paint and exposed wood beams. We photographed her bridal session last month and I’ve had to wait 30 agonizing days before I could share on the blog. It was soooo hard to do, so I snuck one up on my personal facebook to share with my immediate friends because I couldn’t contain my excitement ;) Sorry Rachael, I just HAD TO! Now that they wed this weekend I’m so sad to see this chapter of our relationship close, but I know that I’ve gained a pair of life long friends. Rachael & JD, I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. And feel free to having a baby or two or five so I can photograph them too ;)

She truly belongs in a bridal magazine. Simply stunning. JD my friend, you did good :)

. Beyond anything I could have imagined when we first met. Rachael, you are STUNNING.

yes, this dove is real and was quite ready for a photo session himself.

How do you wrap up a fabulous bridal session? With a dove release of course!!!

Meet Natali & Carson. They look like they just walked out of a steamy Abercrombie ad. Here are a few sneak peek images to entice you for a week or two while I edit their session. :)

El Silo Escondido {Austin Wedding Photographer}

Friday, April 15th, 2011

El Silo Escondido means “The Hidden Silo” and what a perfectly fitting name for this beautiful private residence nestled in southwest Austin. When I drove up to the pathway I was taken aback by all the rustic beauty and immediately exclaimed “this should be a professional venue, its gorgeous!!!” Ally and Brian are lucky enough to be friends with residence owners and combined with their rustic country themed wedding it all came together wonderfully. The colors, the layout, the silo views itself for the First Look – ahhh, just lovely. Family and friends traveled from many states to witness their vows and they danced the night away in celebration. It was fantastic to be part of such a heartfelt wedding and I must give special recognition to Kevin Molesworth , wedding coordinator for Brass Tacks Events. By the end of the night I was in total vendor love with this guy. He’s genuine, professional, on queue and truly caters to his clients. I’ve never seen another vendor risk being set on fire just for a pretty sparkler exit, but Kevin did ;)   Kevin, I can only dream to work with you again and again. Any bride who hires you for their wedding is going to have the wedding of their dreams.

Ally and Brian – meeting you, photographing your engagement session and then your wedding day was a blessing. You are both wonderful, sweet and perfectly paired and your little girls are sweet as can be. May your life together be filled with a lifetime of special moments. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special day in your life. xoxo
