Torture. Not being able to post Rachael’s bridal sneak peeks or full blog post for that matter until after her wedding next month is plain torture. I’m so in love with how her images turned out. It’s no exaggeration that when Rachael and her super sweet fiance JD finally get hitched I”m going to have withdrawals. Miss Rachael has set the bar high this year for my brides in so many ways. She’s VERY in tune with what she wants for the most important day of her life and will go to the ends of the earth to pull it all together, even if it means some DIY or going on a hunt for the perfect accessory for her shoes or her tables at every vintage shop she can find.I just want to bottle Rachael up and keep her happily in my pocket so when I have a moment of “blah” she can make it go away. She and JD are a perfect match as he’s most definitely the other half of her life puzzle.

If you’ve been following the blog you’ll know that Rachael was one of my first “vintage engagement sessions” that I photographed for the year and she sparked a trend among my brides thus far. Since then I’ve done several vintage sessions and aimed at making each one unique from the other because no one wants carbon copy engagement pictures! Besides, I love to push my creative envelope every.single.time. While their wedding will be held at Barr Mansion and we did take a few bridal portrait there, the main session was held at the ever cool.vintage.eclectic location of Lustre Pearl. I KNEW in my heart that this was THE place for her and it took quite some stalking of the folks at Lustre Pearl to finally get a confirmation (SXSW madness happened during all this), but it was most definitely worth it. If only I could show you just how GORGEOUS & breaktaking Rachael looks all dolled up as a bride. She’s breathtaking people. You’ll have to trust me on this one (and come back to see the reveal in a month).

What I can share with you are a few snapshots I captured at the salon “Keep Austin Gorgeous” where MUA/Stylist Megan worked her magic. If you’re looking for professional artist who can do airbrush makeup, give Megan a call. I always recommend this to my clients because airbrush lasts 10x longer and you want to look flawless from start to finish on your wedding day. Contact Megan at megankathleenoneill@gmail.com.

the only peek you’ll get at miss RAWR …FIERCE. Work it Rachael!

How many of you have marked your calendars and know that Mothers Day falls on Sunday, May 8th this year? If you need a perfect gift idea, why not give the gift of a session with prints from Keepsake Images. There isn’t a mother in the world, myself included, who wouldn’t love to have portraits of her children and even with my child(ren) to enjoy long after the holiday has passed. Do you know of an expectant mother? Or someone who’s adopting a beautiful child? Light up their day with the gift of a maternity, newborn or Welcome Home session. Gift certificates are also great gifts for Family & Senior sessions too!

Wedding season is upon us – the days are getting brighter, the flowers will spring up soon and your social calendar will fill up with invites for couples ready to say ‘I do!”  A gift certificate is something they’ll be really grateful to receive – they can apply it towards the purchase of flush mount wedding albums, prints & gallery wraps – you can even be the gift-giver they’ll never forget by purchasing a custom Wedding Collection Gift Certificate (hi, Mom & Dad – reading this?) :)   Yes – you can pay for their entire wedding collection up front!!! Imagine the happy look on an engaged couples face when they realize you’ve got their photography budget covered. All smiles for sure.

Each Gift Certificate is ready to be gifted. We include a nice white envelope and will include a beautiful ribbon and a Keepsake Images sticker to seal the gift after you personalize it. Loves comes your way {Austin Engagement Photographer}

Wow. What can I say about this session other than it photographed even more beautifully than I ever expected it to. Robin’s interest in hiring me as their wedding photographer peaked when she saw my vintage engagement session for Rachael & JD at the Duchman Family Winery. Together we shared ideas on props, colors, locations and styled the vintage session she dreamed of. During the shoot Ryan, her adorable fiance asked me “Do all couples play dress up for engagement pictures these days?” And I chuckled and said “I know..this screams estrogen overload but I promise to make it painless and fun.” He replied the smartest words any man that’s about to take a wife should say “Well, you do what you gotta do to make her happy.” Ah Robin, He’s a Keeper girlfriend!!

They’re getting married at the beautiful Winfield Inn located in Kyle, Tx so I suggested we visit my old hometown of 8 yrs and get our vintage on. The following engagement story is simple and sweet. Boy meets girl. They fall in love. He proposes, she says yes and he waits. Waits for the day to make her all his. And to remind her of his love, he arrives at the train station with balloons in hand. Afterall, its her birthday too. It really is!! :)

This post is PHOTO HEAVY and will take time to load. But trust me, its worth it!

Robin entertained me by wearing one of my own vintage inspired headbands I’ve designed for ages newborn-engaged ;) – Doesn’t it add just the perfect touch?

Can you make out the title? It says ‘That Man is Mine”. That’s right girl!

What do you think?!!! Ryan and Robin – you two are perfect for each other. I look forward to your fall wedding! xoxo
