For the vintage-inspired brides of 2011
Wednesday, February 9th, 2011Have I expressed enough how GREAT my 2011 clients are yet? I’m sure I have, but I’ll say it again. The level of trust I have from my clients this year is unsurpassed. They are truly allowing me to explore my creative side in ways that I always wanted to, but never did…until now. Whenever I visit my fave wedding blog sites such as Wedding Chicks or Style Me Pretty, I’m inspired to be more creative. In this industry one thing is certain – one type of bride attracts a similar bride. I’m ALL ABOUT styled sessions. I LOVE IT! This is definitely my niche. I would seriously DIY every engagement session with props all around if it means getting images that are anything but typical. Maybe its the “thrifty” part of me, but I can be easily entertained by going to garage sales, finding something that looks like it needs to head straight to the dump and turning it into something PRETTY. And some old things are perfect as is too. The right “prop” can add so much character to a shoot just as the couple in front of the lens tells the story of love.
Rachelle and JD have trusted in me since day one. Initial meeting, I just KNEW this was going to be a special wedding because Rachael is completely a DIY gal at heart like me. Nothing will stop her from finding her mason jars and all things vintage to make that special day, her wedding, PERFECT. I love her. When she asked me to design her wedding invitations and RSVP’s my heart fluttered. Seriously, I just loved the idea of being this involved in the process. It took me a few hours to get the design where I wanted it to be and when I finally revealed the final layout, she approved with “i love it!’ High Five!
I’m not sure how often I’ll be asked to design these, but just know if you’re reading this that its definitely an option. I’m a creative girl at heart so give me a challenge and I’m up to the task.
Here’s a look at the 5×7 linen invites and 2×7 rsvp cards. The invites come with white envelopes or parchment paper envelopes.
